We had quite the adventure on our road trip over Labor day weekend.

Friday night, we arrived in Wimberely and promptly went to the grocery store and the liquor store to load up on food and drinks for the weekend. We then returned to our home away from home for the weekend at the Cypress Creek Cottages. I made everyone a spaghetti dinner and Sandy made her now infamous signature cocktail – a Jamaica Me Happy. FYI, if you add an extra shot of vodka, it becomes a Jamaica Me Crazy! hehe

Saturday was our pampering/shopping day. We got manis and pedis in San Marcos followed by shopping at the San Marcos outlet mall. We then went back to the cottage and watched Crazy Stupid Love before heading out to dinner in Driftwood at one of my all time favorite restaurants, the Trattoria Lisina located at the Duchman family vineyard. The food was absolutely amazing, as always :-)

Sunday, we drove out to Fredricksburg and meet up with Mike Kasberg of Hill Country Wine Tours to take a limo tour of a few of the vineyards in Fredricksburg.

The wine tour was so awesome! We started at the Grape Creak vineyard, then went to Texas Hills Vineyards, Mendelbaum Cellars and ended the day at the Messina Hof Winery. And yes, I had to look up the names because I drank enough wine that I forgot most of the specifics about that day. Hehe

On the way to Fredricksburg, we did noticed the wiener-mobile parked outside the local Brookshire’s and had to stop for a quick photo opp before we left. We all got wienie whistles too!

Monday was the last day of the trip. We went to downtown Wimberely to do a little shopping at had breakfast at the Wimberely Cafe on the Sqaure.  Then we packed up the car to the absolute max with all the wine and shoes and clothes we had purchased over the weekend and headed on home to Dallas. It was a great trip with three of my favorite girls and I am very thankful to Haydee for putting the whole thing together.
